  1. Hi desiπŸ™‚. We discuss the same material namely phonology. I am took a reference from Kridalaksana. And can I know you are taking references from who and what your reasons are so you choose the reference??

    BalasHapus
    Balasan
    1. I took a reference from a linguist named David Crystal. The reason I chose the reference is because I think his opinion is very good and I understand the understanding of phonology well from that opinion

      Hapus
    2. ohhh nice desi.... but, i think a reference from kridalaksana more then make we easy understanding . this just my oipinion yeahhhh..... and i agree too with you if opinion from david crystal very good....

      Hapus
    3. and desi i have a little critic for you , about your video . i like your video but, nothing special there.... why you make like that desi ????? i think you can do more . you know what desi???? your video is so flat and make me bored....

      Hapus
    4. i'm sorry but, this is just my little critic desi . never mind yeahhh . don't worry about that . next time you make be better yeahhh.... keep writing desi and do the best for the next time yeahh... see you.....

      Hapus
    5. Yes, I accept your opinion hera. Everyone must have a different opinion, you can say you better understand the opinion of kridalaksana but for me I better understand David Crystal's opinion. You can't force your will and I can't force my will either. So it's very fair right? 😏

      Hapus
    6. Hey, yes my video is nothing special but I made it so hard you don't know how difficult it is to make an interesting video for the first time in my life. But I accept it, because it does look boring. Don't think I can do more because I'm not a creative person like you hera 😐

      Hapus
    7. Yes I will do my best next time and thank you for the advice you gave. And hopefully when you visit my blog next time there are no complaints in it. See you later πŸ™

      Hapus
    8. hi sis hera .. why do you promote kridalaksana?
what do you think is the superiority of the others?
if you say the explanation is easier to understand. are you sure that's right?
what everyone will find easier to understand references from kridalaksa?😊

      Hapus
    9. Hello ayu, may I ask why you only respond to comments from hera on my blog ?. Can you give a comment from my video? Or can you give a question after seeing my video?
I hope you give any comment 😊

      Hapus
    10. @ayu suryani.... Yes ayu... Why i promote opinion from kridalaksana???? Because i want everyone can easy to understand about phonology. That's it ayu. 😁😁😁😁😁😁

  2. Hii desi, i already wacth your video.i think it is so good , and i like your voiceπŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰, but I'm confused about phonetics and phonemics, can you be clear, and from what article you took about your explanation

    2. Hello monic, thanks for watching my video and saying you like my voice. Although actually my voice is not good πŸ˜‚
For articles on phonemic and phonetics, I really forgot where to take it from. I will try to find it and will give it to you when I find it. I'm really sorry for that πŸ™

      Hapus
    3. yes it's okay, maybe you can just explain it to me, because I don't understand about both, can you explain it to me ?? and can you give examples of both ... and what's the difference ... thank youπŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰

      Hapus
    4. Phonology studies the pronunciation system in a language that if we say the wrong word the meaning will be wrong too. Because sometimes in a word that has similar letters, the examples are see and sea, it must be correctly pronounced so that misunderstandings occur and that is also an example of phonology. The phonetics studies how sound is produced using human speech devices. The sound referred to here is the sound that we make when saying a word. An example of phonetics is usually found in an English dictionary. The difference between phonetics and phonology is that phonetics studies language sounds while phonology unifies sounds to produce meaning. Hope you can understand monic, thank you πŸ™

      Hapus
    5. your explanation is very long .πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†.. yes I quite understand that πŸ˜€πŸ˜€... thank you desi ... but I'm confused why did you choose phonology? What is the reason??πŸ˜„πŸ˜„

      Hapus
    6. Yes I also feel very long, but that's because you ask so many monic. If you didn't ask much, how could I reply so long πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
I chose phonology because by studying phonology I was able to pronounce words in language correctly and the meaning was conveyed well to those who heard me speak ☺️☺️

      Hapus
    7. oh yes now I already know ... sorry desi I did not mean to bother you ... but I really do not know that ... but I always believe you will try to respond to itπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

      Hapus
    8. No problem monic, I'm glad you ask so much that means I'll try to give an answer. I'm not bothered at all and I'm glad you know now ☺️
Oh yes, thank you too for believing that I will respond well πŸŒΌπŸ’–

      Hapus
    9. In my opinion Monica should ask to Desi face to face,so Monica can more understand about it.and I think it's an efectifes ways to do

      Hapus
  3. Hi desi..Thank you for the explanation. You wrote what you got from the resources that you have before, now can I ask what Phonology means from your own perspective? Is is enough we learn about Phonology only or we need to understand about the other parts of Phonology?

    BalasHapus
    Balasan
    1. Understanding phonology in my opinion is a branch of linguistics that studies the pronunciation system well. Because if a word is almost similar but pronounced the same it will have a different meaning, if we say the wrong sentence of course people who understand English well will be confused to hear it. It is important that we study phonology. Of course we are not enough to learn about phonology, we must also study the phonology section.

      Hapus
    2. hi kak fransiska, in my opinion studying phonology is very important and if you study phonology of course you have to understand the parts, do you know why I say learning phonology is important ?? because phonology learns about sound and distinguishes pronunciation of letters. If we don't learn parts of phonology, then how do we differentiate pronunciation about something. I think like thatπŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

      Hapus
    3. Yes that's right monic, if we can't distinguish between saying a special word in language, of course there will be a misunderstanding in communication πŸ‘πŸ‘

      Hapus
    4. I wanna add,and if you good in phonetic and phonology thats Mean you are a pro in English speaking

      Hapus
  4. Hello desi I'm lia πŸ‘‹ I have seen your video presentation it turns out we are discussing the same topic the topics is phonology, in my opinion your presentation is very good, your pronunciation and voice in the video is also very good, and here I want to give you questions about your topic, so the question is do you think phonology and phonetic have the same equation discussing about of sounds or not? and give an explanation!
    thank you Desi πŸ™

    BalasHapus
    Balasan
    1. Hi sis, thanks for watching my video. In my opinion phonology and phonetics do have similarities that talk about sound, but it is not the same. Because phonetics is related to the sounds of language produced from human speech devices that use various parts of the body including lips, tongue, teeth and others. While phonology studies how the sounds are put together to create meaning

      Hapus
    2. Okay desi 😊 thanks for your answer πŸ™ I understand about that I also discuss phonolgy on my blog account, please come to my blog desi and give me suggest for fixed my blog to the next 😊 so, now I am still in doubt about the example, can you give me an example about that desi? thank you desi πŸ™πŸ˜Š

      Hapus
    3. You're welcome sis, I've also visited your blog and left a comment there πŸ˜‰
For example phonology the examples are see and sea, it must be pronounced so that misunderstandings occur. And in the word sea the difference is located in the letter "a" and in the word see the difference lies in the letter "e". So that's an example of phonology, I guess you understand quite well sis because you also discussed phonology. Hehe 😁

      Hapus
    4. Okayy desi 😊 thanks for your answer πŸ™πŸ˜‡ yess I also discussed phonology 😊 our topic is the same 😁😁 I ask because I think our opinions will be different 😁😁 but thanks for your desi response 😊😊 and then may I know, why did you choose the topic is this desi? thank you desi πŸ™πŸ˜‡

      Hapus
    5. hi desi πŸ‘‹ ohh my God 😌 what's wrong with you dear? why you not replying to my comments, I've been waiting for a response from you Desi πŸ˜”πŸ˜” ahh..please respond me desi, thank you desi πŸ™πŸ˜‡

      Hapus
    6. Hmmm, yes surely we have different opinions. The reason I chose phonology is because when I can master phonology, I can have a good pronunciation and be understood by others. Because honestly when I try to speak English my pronunciation is not good and it's still bad, therefore I want to have a better pronunciation 😊

      Hapus
    7. Haha, sorry to make you wait a long time sis πŸ˜‚. The reason I long replied was because I had to browse other people's blogs and leave comments there. Another reason is because I just had time to open my blog now, I have already replied. Hopefully you can understand and feel enough with the explanation that I made 😊😊😊

  5. Hello Desi Masari..nice to meet you here...πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€— we have same topic which is about phonology.So..which part about phonology that feel difficult to understand Desi ??? πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”

    BalasHapus
    Balasan
    1. Hi sis, nice to meet you again. Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment πŸ™
I will try to answer your question. The most difficult part for me to understand in phonology is the part of phonology, phonetics. Because I have not been able to understand how to make the right sound through spoken devices such as those learned in phonetics

      Hapus
    2. Yeah Desi..same with me.I feel this part difficult..because there are too many examples to know..the differences word by word... πŸ›πŸ›πŸ›πŸ›

      Hapus
    3. That's right sis, moreover we have to really understand how to pronounce the word correctly through spoken utilities. If we don't understand the pronunciation technique and how to use the utterance it will be difficult. Isn't that right sis?

      Hapus
    4. Different opinion, right?,yes you should discuss

      Hapus
  6. Why we must learning about phonology?

    BalasHapus
    Balasan
    1. Hi ega, thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. I will try to answer. I think the reason we have to study phonology is so that we can say a word well and with the correct meaning. Because if we are wrong in saying a word, meaning errors can occur too. And in phonology it also discusses word differences, so if we understand phonology we can distinguish words that are similar but have different meanings. Hopefully this can be understood, thank you πŸ™

      Hapus
    2. So what the benefit in daily life if we Learn about phonology?

      Hapus
    3. The advantage in daily life can be seen from our ability to speak English better, so that when we try to speak in English it will be fluent. Of course it's very fun, when you can speak English with pronunciation similar to native speakers of English and the meaning is well conveyed. That's really cool isn't it? 😎

      Hapus
  7. Hi desi ,, i know if phonology is talking about sounds right . Human have sounds, birds have sounds, turtles have sounds and all animals have sounds right. But yeah we know human can not understand sounds of animals unless prophet Sulaiman As . But desi i just want to know what exactly is the sound referred to in the ponology ?

    BalasHapus
    Balasan
    1. The sound in question is the sound issued by humans when speaking in languages, such as English, Indonesian, Japanese and others. I've searched a number of references on Google and haven't found that the sound learned in phonology is the language of animals as you say. Maybe naila, you've read it. If you've read about it, you can tell me. I gladly accept it and get new knowledge from you

      Hapus
    2. i just thought if phonology talking about sounds so that is mean the all of sounds or just focused on a sound . i am confuse about that so i asked you . then after you answer my question now i understand . thank you so much desi

      Hapus
    3. You're welcome, it's okay if you ask, I'll be happy to reply. And I'm glad you understand about my explanation and don't feel confused now. Thank you

      Hapus
    4. in my opinion phonology is not only studying human voices but animal sounds as well,,, because The same animals produce similar sound, no matter where they are. That is, a bird in IndonesiaI chirps, and a bird in America also chirps. But for Indonesians, the sound of chirping is imitated as "pit ". Americans, however, chirping are "tweets".

      Hapus
    5. why animal sounds are learned, because humans can mimic animal sounds,πŸ•πŸˆπŸ₯although the animal sounds are the same but in every country the pronunciation is differentπŸ΄πŸ―πŸ†,,,, i think like that Naila and Desi. 🌸🌸🌸

      Hapus
    6. Hai Desi πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹for more details Check and read this journalπŸ‘‡
      http://journal.um-surabaya.ac.id/index.php/Tell/article/download/2097/pdf,,,, happy learning Desi...!!! πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

      Hapus
    7. If kak eli think it's like that, then I don't think like that. Because as far as I know, I looked for various sources to explain about phonology. I haven't found a single website that discusses phonology, it's the sound of animal pronunciation. Maybe I need lots of references to know more about phonology. Or if you have a website link that says phonology not only addresses human voices but animal sounds too, you can give me the link πŸ™

      Hapus
    8. Hmm, if the animal's voice is the same but the pronunciation is different how can we find the phonemic in it. As far as I know sis, phonology besides discussing the problem of pronunciation also discusses the meaning. If animal sounds are just differences in sound, then where can we find out the meaning of what animals say. I'm still confused about that sis πŸ€”

      Hapus
    9. Oh it turns out you have given the link sis, I'm too excited to reply to your comments one by one. Alright sis, I'll try to read it and come back here to discuss it with you. Previously, thank you for giving the link πŸ™

      Hapus
    10. Your welcome Desi πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™ i am happy if the link that I shared can help you understand your material.😦😦😦 don't forget to open and read... Thank you Desi. 🌸🌸🌸

      Hapus
    11. Yes, I have read it sis. But in my opinion the pronunciation of the animal's voice has its own discussion. Because after I read it again, it's very different from the branches of linguistics that I know of such as phonology, morphology, semantics, lexicology, syntax.

    1. Hi Esther, thank you for watching my video and leaving a comment. The difference in pronunciation in phonemic lies in one letter contained in a word that is similar because phonemic is indeed about distinguishing meaning. For example in the words "right" and "light" the difference is in the words 'r' and 'l' which of course when spoken it makes a different sound too. Hopefully you can understand that πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

    1. Yes it can be applied in daily life, when you speak in English, then you must be able to pronounce each sentence correctly and the meaning is conveyed well to your interlocutors. When learning to say words in English, in my opinion phonology is very suitable to apply. Hopefully my answer helps and sorry if there are mistakes. thank you πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

      Hapus
    2. ooh as soon as I understand how desi 😊 but there is more that I want to ask, right, for example, we do not apply or use phonology in our daily lives, especially in terms of speaking, what will happen? are we not understood by people? so that person will get confused with us πŸ‘€

      Hapus
    3. Yes, if we do not learn about phonology well, of course there are misunderstandings when we communicate with others. Especially if we try to speak in English with native speakers of English, if our pronunciation is incorrect of course they will be confused and might just keep saying "sorry what do you say" πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…

      Hapus
    4. hahaha ooh I see so desi 😊 but does this phonology have anything to do with grammar? because it involves pronunciation right? sorry my question i i yes desi because I'm also a little confused 😊 I think you can answer my confusion hehe 😊😊

    6. Grammar?. I don't think there is a connection, because the focus of this phonology is pronunciation. When in grammar we learn how to compose good sentences with definite formulas or with conditions that must be met in composing a sentence, then in phonology we only learn how good pronunciation and meaning can also be conveyed properly. I think like that, hopefully you can understand the refi. And thanks for continuing to ask, so that makes me always think of answering your questions πŸ˜ŠπŸ™

      Hapus
    7. hehe thank you for answering my curiosity yes desi πŸ’– yes I also keep thinking when you give me an answer and I get the knowledge from your answers πŸ‘Œ thank you desi, enthusiasm to answer all the questions on your blog, while answering while studying yes 😊 😊

Btw sorry your comment above accidentally deleted, I completely did not realize it was deleted. Though I guess, to delete my comment. I'm very sorry and sorry for that πŸ˜’πŸ™

      Hapus
    10. Okay, fine refi. Maybe you have another question about the material that I explained in the video above, you can ask me again 😊
Or if you want to give advice, criticism and bully I will be happy to accept it. Because I really need all that for now πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

      Hapus
    11. do you want me to ask again on your blog? oh yeah desi I'd be happy if you want it from me, and I actually have other stock to ask right though sometimes it's not important what I'm saying, but at least I have an effort right? πŸ˜…πŸ˜… well if you want it πŸ‘Œ

      Hapus
    12. what I want to ask right is why did you choose this material? isn't there any other material right? and I think there are still many and all of them are the same, that is equally useful and and have the same purpose, for example phonetic right? why don't you just choose phonetic like that πŸ‘€πŸ˜Š

      Hapus
    13. Yes, of course I want another question from you. But please don't ask questions that are difficult for me to answer πŸ˜‚. And for now I accept all comments in the form of suggestions, criticisms, whatever bullying I really need. Btw, thank you refi has left many comments here and always respond 😊

      Hapus
    14. Alright I'll try to answer your question refi. Yes you are right, lots of other ingredients and equally useful. The reason why I chose phonology materials is because when I can master phonology, I can have a good pronunciation and be understood by others. Because honestly when I try to speak English my pronunciation is not good and it's still bad, therefore I want to have a better pronunciation 😊

I want to ask you, how to prove that a sound can be said to be a phoneme or not? can you explain?
    Thank youu 😊

    BalasHapus
    Balasan
    1. Hello Shinta Silvia, thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. I will try to answer your question. phoneme understanding is the smallest unit of language sound that can distinguish meaning. So according to me, to prove whether the sound is a phoneme or not depends on how the word is. Because phonemes are sounds that can distinguish meanings, when a word contains letters that make a distinction in it, it can be said to be a phoneme. For example in the words "light" and "right", the phonemes are 'l' and 'r'. Hopefully my answer can be understood, and if you find a mistake then you can tell me. Thank you πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

hi ziraa .. πŸ’– meet me again with you on his blog Desi πŸ’– I am confused about you zira because you often say that you are very bored seeing the video of the person you are visiting are you a separate disease? so you are always bored watching people's videos πŸ˜… I think you need to go to the hospital so that your illness disappears because I think diseases like you are very rare in this world especially in our class πŸ™Š immediately go to the ziraa hospitalπŸ˜…πŸ˜…

      Hapus
    3. I agree with you refi, zira always say like with everyone's videos but why there are complaints at the end. You can't say like if you get bored watching people's videos, sorry I have to say maybe you should learn the true meaning of liking. Because if we like something, I don't think there is anything bad in it πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

      Hapus
    4. wkwkw yes desi, she seems to be lifting high but after that she is thrown downward 🀣 jila sometimes likes to disappoint πŸ™Šlikes but there is a word of boredom too πŸ™ˆ nonsense you are jila, at least he does not speak of ghosts like you πŸ™ŠπŸ™ŠπŸ€£

      Hapus
    5. Yes I'm confused, I just want to give a little advice to zira. Hai Zira, if you don't like one thing then say it honestly. Because honesty is the best thing even though sometimes it hurts 😊

      Hapus
    6. wkwkwk very true Desi πŸ˜… but I feel more painful if initially praised if he liked but after that he was said to be bored 🀣 more painful than honest actually I feel πŸ™ŠπŸ˜… maybe if he likes it like that than he must be honest because according to him the person in comments will be hurt even more hurt by words of praise at the beginning but the criticism at the end 🀣

      Hapus
    7. Yes, each person does have a different character different refi. Maybe zira is afraid of making people hurt when given bad comments, but to me honest at the beginning would be better than honest at the end. Bad comments are actually not a bad thing if the goal is to motivate others to be better, isn't that right refi? 😎😎😎

As you said that the first time you visited my blog, even though at the top of the comments column you have asked me and I have answered. Stay focused and excited sis 😊

      Hapus
    4. Wah refi I'm very sad if forgotten like that. Even though we are in the same class, how can sis lia forget me while others don't. I feel so sad now. If Sis lia deliberately forget about me, it really hurts my feelings 😒😒😒

    1. Hello sis eli, it's great that my blog is visited by you. I am doing well, I hope you are well there too. Thank you sis for giving an opinion or can also be called a suggestion, I will do it well sis. If there are questions about the material that I submit in the video, then you can ask it in this comment column. Do not hesitate and I am waiting for your reply 😊😊😊

      Hapus
    2. Desi πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹ maybe my question has already been asked by others, but I will still ask. What do you think about phonology??? 🌸🌸🌸explain briefly!!!Thank you, 🌸

      Hapus
    3. No problem sis, I will try to answer it πŸ˜‰
I think phonology is a branch of linguistics that studies how good pronunciation and meaning can be conveyed properly 🌼Maybe that's all I can give about my opinions on phonology. I hope you can understand that πŸ™

      Hapus
  19. Thank you Desi,,, πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™so you according phonology that studies how good pronounciation can be conveyed properly, right!!!
πŸ‘‰That's mean, learning about phonology can improve our English pronunciation???
Please explain, briefly!!! As soon as possible!!! πŸŒΈπŸŒΈπŸ™

    1. You're welcome sis 😊😊😊
That's right, phonology will make our pronunciation better and the meaning also conveyed well to our interlocutors. As we try to start a conversation with a native English speaker, he is not confused and understands what we say. That's really cool isn't it? πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜ŽπŸ˜‰

  20. Desi... you have the same material as Hera ... πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘that is phonologyπŸ‘ˆ but according to Hera phonology does not learn about pronunciation. what do you think about Hera's opinion ?? because I disagree with his opinion. Please explain Desi... Thank you!!! πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

    Balasan
    1. Oh really hera opinion like that ? 😨
I don't know, can you quote what hera thinks of phonology? Maybe we can discuss it together, because I think if we discuss it together we will get a good understanding πŸ‘

      Hapus
  21. Desi... πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹ you say:
You think phonology is a branch of linguistics that studies how good pronunciation. Then phonetic also studies about pronunciation. So,,,what do you think is the difference between phonology and phonetic.
    πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™Thank you Desi.

    1. Hi sis πŸ‘‹,in my opinion phonology and phonetics do have similarities that talk about sound, but it is not the same. Because phonetics is related to the sounds of language produced from human speech devices that use various parts of the body including lips, tongue, teeth and others. While phonology studies how the sounds are put together to create meaning 😊

      Hapus
    2. Hi desi.... πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹ thank you..
Your explanation makes me understand about phonetic and phonology.πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”but even though I didn't ask you to include an example, πŸ‘‰you should make example to your explain even more clear🌸😲😁

      Hapus
    3. Hmm, I only reply to what you want sis. If you want an example you should also say it. Because I have to reply to other people's comments on this blog, so I have to be able to divide my time so that everything can be replied to me and resolved properly. So a little advice for you sis, if you want more explanation then ask the whole question. I hope you accept my advice πŸ˜ŠπŸ™

      Hapus
    4. OK desi ... πŸ™ than you for the suggestion ... πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€” I want you to give examples of similarities and differences from phonology and phonetic,,, thank you! πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ™πŸ‘

    1. Yes of course I will tell you, the reason I'm attracted to this branch of linguistics is because when I can master phonology, I can have a good pronunciation and be understood by others. Because honestly when I try to speak English my pronunciation is not good and it's still bad, therefore I want to have a better pronunciation 😊

  30. Hii desi, i have wacth your video.i think it is so good , and i like your voiceπŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰, but I'm confused about phonetics and phonemics, can you be clear, and from what article you took about your explanation

    BalasHapus
    Balasan
    1. Hello Putri, glad that you visited my blog and said you liked seeing my video 😊
Okay I'll explain a little about phonemic and phonetic.
For reference, I visited many articles to make an explanation of phonology on Google
      Thank you πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

      Hapus
  31. Hi Desi hi sis, in my opinion your blog is goid with your explanation I might learn a lot from your blog.
