Bullying Killing Me!

        

         Bullying,almost everyone knows about this  bad actions. Simple understanding of bullying is a act done by one person or even a lot of people to someone who is considered weak, strange and has a deficiency. The perpetrators and victims of bullying are usually school-age teenagers. Bullying is done in various ways that are then categorized into bullying types. There are at least four types of bullying often done  by the perpetrators of bullying. The four types of bullying are,verbal bullying,physical bullying,bullying by friendship and bullying by electronic media.

        The first type of bullying is verbal bullying. Sometimes we never accidentally throw bad sentences to others. But the perpetrators of bullying deliberately throw bad sentences to the victim so they feel scared, sad and angry. In this type, bullying is done by throwing cruel bad sentences such as saying ugly, fat, stupid, weird and even saying a threat.

This type of verbal bullying is the most common type, compared to the other three types of bullying.Statistical data about verbal bullying released in the United States from an article shows that, 160,000 school children do not want to go to school for fear of being intimidated by school friends. From the results of a survey conducted, 86 percent of students said that violence that occurred in schools was caused by victims of verbal bullying who felt annoyed and responded with violence.("Statistics about verbal bullying released in America show that over 160,000 kids refuse to go to school each day for fear of being bullied in the USA.86 percent of student disclosed in a survey that the primary reason teenagers turn to lethal violence, such as gun violence, is due to "other kids picking on them, or making fun of them, or bullying them",thebullyshield.com).

While here there is a second data that confirms that, verbal bullying is the most common type of bullying. A statistic released in the UK shows 89 percent of children have received verbal bullying. The treatment they get in the form of calling with an improper name is ignored ,and others.("Statistic released in the UK,89 percent of children who claimed to have been bullied in the last 12 months(2018) said that they had been verbally bullied in same form or another.In the study,this included being called names,sworm t,insulted,ignored or having rumours spread about them,thebullyshield.com").

        Not only by throw a bad sentence, bullying also dares to do it by physically hurting. Physical bullying, which is the second type of bullying, usually occurs in schools in situations of seniors who feel they have the right to oppress or commit violence to juniors who make mistakes. For example, schools in Indonesia that have an agenda for every new teaching, namely orientation activities for new students, in those activities, violence often occurs by old students against new students.

Physical bullying is a type of bullying that is not very common. Regarding physical bullying cases that occur, the data found is from the United States Department of Health Human Services states that physical bullying often occurs in boys. However, boys tend to be bullied by other boys. Girls are bullied by girls and boys.("According to statical data obtained from the US Department of Health & Human services states that boys have been found to be involved in physical intimidation more often then girls,but the evidence varies regarding gender differences in relational/indirect bullying .Boys tend to be bullied by girls and boys(whitney&smith,1993)").

According to research in another article, physical bullying usually occurs in someone who has physically weaker than the perpetrator. Physical bullying victims also have some shortcomings, making it difficult to escape physical bullying.("Victims of physical bullying are usually physically weaker than the bullies and also may be socially weaker than the bullies,and also may be socially marginalized for some reason,including weight,ethnicity,or other characteristics that make it harder for them to fit in.bullyingstatistic.org").

       In friendships,not all are well-connected. For example, at school, a school other than a place to gain knowledge is where we make friends. However, in the circle of friends there are usually students who do not have friends and become loners. In that situation it has been marked by acts of bullying by friendship.

Data regarding the occurrence of bullying by friendship, has been found in research in America which states that 30 percent of children have received bullying from friends. However, this type of bullying is rarely known because usually children do not feel bullied because it is done by friends.("A recent American study shower that 30 percent of young people have been bullied by friends.It can be difficult to spot,because children sometimes think that if their friend is doing it,it must be ok.").

Data from other studies show that bullying by friendship has a greater influence than verbal bullying and physical bullying for victims. While victims of this type of bullying occur in boys and girls on the same frequency.("We found that relatioanal bullying is associated with lower health-related quality of life,and appears to have a larger influence than physical or verbal bullying-almost double that for verbal bullying.We also considered gender,and foundthe findings were the same for both boys and girls.theconversation.com").

        The last type of bullying is bullying done using electronic media. The more rapid development of the times, the bullying has experienced progress which was initially carried out directly so now it can be done online. The action is being famously done by giving bad comments on social media accounts. It can even be done by sending pictures that demean the victim's self-esteem to make the victim feel sad and to depression.

Bullying by electronic media more often called cyberbullying is increasingly common in modern times. Data showing cyberbullying is contained in two different studies.The first data,according to CDC(2014),14.8 percent of students have been intimidated through electronic media in various ways.Such as sending messges,leaving bad comments on social media accounts,sending email in the form of threat,etc.However,women are more likely to accept this type of bullying compared to men.With a ratio of 8.5 percent of men and 2.10 percent of women.("According to the CDC(2014),14.8 percent of students had been electronically bullied,including being bullied through e-mail,chat rooms,instant messaging,websites,or texting,during the 12 months before the survey.The prevalence of having been electronically bullied was higher among female (21.0 percent) than male (8.5 percent) students.The prevalence of having been electronically bullied from 2011 (16.2 percent) to 2013(14.8 percent)").

The second data is static about bullying in Canada, which shows that some high schools in Toronto have been bullied online by 49.5 percent in research in 2010.("Static on bullying and harassment in Canada shows that,a 2010 research project studying 33 Toronto junior high schools reported that 49.5 percent of students surveyed had been bullied online").

       The conclusion is,regardless of the types of bullying, none has a positive impact on both the victim and the perpetrator. All types of bullying risk taking lives. Therefore do not ever try to commit these bad actions.
